There is a strong connection between sustainability and the wellness of the occupants. Lighting, noise and thermal comfort are factors that can contribute to the well-being and mental health of the occupants. If these factors were addressed in the earliest design stage, the occupant's productivity would be increased, and the extra cost would be eliminated.

Tackling urban heat islands can be tackled using many strategies, one of which is using lighter materials to reflect the heat radiations.
