LEED is an internationally recognized green building certification system and is applied worldwide. It is applied for all building types as it provides a framework for healthy, highly efficient, and cost-saving green buildings. This course will provide an inclusive introduction to the LEED V4 rating system and cover informative and essential content required to establish an efficient foundation in the knowledge of LEED and becoming a LEED Green Associate. The course will also provide guidance on how to register and pass the LEED Green Associate exam by covering the relevant material required.
This LEED Green Associate Exam Preparation Workshop is designed to prepare participants to pass the test with confidence– the first time. The workshop will focus on the key information necessary to pass the LEED Green Associate exam, including: - Introduction to Green Building - About USGBC and LEED - Location and Transportation - Sustainable Sites - Water Efficiency - Energy and Atmosphere - Materials and Resources - Indoor Environmental Quality - Innovation and Regional Priority - LEED Synergies - LEED Green Associate Exam Overview In addition to delivering the material in a clear and concise format, this workshop presents the types of questions that are asked on the exam so participants know what and how to study. LEED GA EXAM PREP LEARNING OBJECTIVES:- What do you need to study and what is too detailed for this Tier 1 LEED credential exam Know what fits into each core LEED category - Understand the difference between designing + building green (LEED BD+C) versus operating green day to day (LEED O+M) - Walk-through on each key concept within LEED Rating System - How to register for the exam, additional study tips (some people learn best by reading, others by listening, etc.), and what to expect on your exam day - Understand the level of difficulty for the LEED Green Associate exam and your studies (hint: lots of vocabulary and where does this green building concept fit into the LEED rating system)

Up-cycling will reduce the total amount of waste being produced by the fashion industry into landfills. This experience will allow you to get creative, learn a new skill, and it's environmentally positive. Everyone is welcome to this workshop.
